Thinking of becoming an Amazon Flex driver but not sure which car to choose? With the cost of living biting hard, considering a used car could get you more bang for your buck. We’ve rounded up a list of best of’s from 2022 to give you some great forecourt options.
Ford Fiesta – Best SuperMini (AutoExpress). The best of the best for Amazon Flex Drivers.
The best of city and family car, the Ford Fiesta has long been a firm favourite among drivers and motoring journalists alike. Offering solid build quality and decent tech, the Fiesta is also cost-effective to run. The Fiesta has meatier engines for petrol-heads, but most will punt for the 1.0 litre Eco-Boost petrol unit, offering excellent value for money when it comes to fuel.
We think the Fiesta makes a fab little runner, and will make short work of your Flex deliveries.
Skoda Yeti – (Parkers)
Skoda’s first entry to the SUV market, the Yeti has earned a place in many families as their go to. Off the new market for a few years, the Yeti can be picked up pretty cheaply and offers great space for all those parcels, as well as being economic to run. However, be prepared for higher than desirable mileage (due to age) and to drive a diesel!
We think the Yeti is great for Amazon Flex drivers because of it’s spacious insides, low purchase price for older models, and low cost to run.
Skoda Superb Estate – (Car Buyer)
Another win for Skoda, Car Buyer ranked it as the top used estate car on forecourts right now. There are petrol and diesel versions, along with a plugin hybrid models that offer a 35 mile range. The Superb counts BMW Touring and Mercedes E Class as it’s main competition, so it’s in good company!
All models are well equipped, with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless entry and go, air-conditioning, DAB radio and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well as a system that can automatically contact the emergency services in the event of a crash.

Peugeot 5008 – (WhatCar)
We’er focusing on the hybrid model of the Peugeot 5008, What Car’s best all-rounder. Our second SUV on the list, the 1.2l 5008 offers smooth handling, a nifty engine, a HUGE boot and an eco focus. The car’s exterior keeps outside noise to a minimum, so passengers and family alike can ride in comfort.
If you’re an Amazon driver delivering in a busy area, we think this SUV is a great choice due to it’s useful interior space.
VW Golf – (HeyCar)
The good ones stick around! And the VW Golf has proved its popularity time and again. Boasting good running costs, the Golf is fuel-efficient with a range of engine types for all needs including a hybrid. Plush and spacious interior gives a comfortable drive, and it’s smaller size makes it a nifty little car for busier streets.
The Golf is more expensive than comparable cars, but we love it’s stylish look, the great in-car tech and it’s enduring appeal.
So you’ve chosen the car, now you just need insurance! Get Amazon Flex coverage with INSHUR and only pay for the blocks you drive. 100% digital.
