A Private Hire Driver’s Guide to Manchester Airport

Where to drop off passengers at Manchester Airport

There are three drop-off zones located close to the terminals.

If you’re heading for Zone 1, you’ll need to leave the M26 at Junction 5 and follow signs for Terminal 1. Look out for the Hilton and Clayton Hotels to guide you. Take a ramp on your left, and you’ll be in the drop-off zone.

To find Zone 2, leave the M26 via Junction 5 and follow the signs for Terminal 2. There’s a couple of roundabouts, then you’ll find the drop-off zone located next to the main check-in hall.

For Zone 3, follow the instructions for Zone 1, driving past the ramp and up to a roundabout. From here, there are a few more roundabouts, but follow the signs for Zone 3 and you’ll see the Terminal right in front of you.

Where to pick up passengers at Manchester Airport

When picking up passengers, it’s essential to use the dedicated pick-up zones. Any private hire drivers attempting to pick up passengers in drop-off zones will be issued a £100 fine.

Each Terminal at Manchester Airport has its own dedicated pick-up zone.

The first is directly outside Terminal 1.

For Terminal 2, follow the signs for “P3”.

Lastly, Terminal 3 has a pick zone directly beside the terminal itself.

Where are the driver toilets at Manchester Airport?
