Uber Eats
Uber Eats first launched in 2015 and is now in hundreds of cities all over the world. In the UK you can deliver with Uber Eats across many cities, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool.

Deliveroo
Deliveroo was founded in London in 2013 and now operates around the world. In March 2022 Deliveroo went beyond food delivery in a trial with WH Smith, delivering stationery and books to people’s homes.

Just Eat
One of the giants of the food delivery world, Just Eat has been around for a while and was set up in Denmark in 2001. Popular locations in the UK include Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester.

Zomato
Perhaps less well known, Zomato launched in 2010. It’s a bit different from other apps in that it also allows customers to find out about new restaurants, book tables and pay as well as ordering food delivery.

Amazon Fresh
Amazon Fresh was initially launched as an online-only grocer for Amazon Prime members in the UK in 2016, and is currently available in a limited number of postcodes.
On the delivery side, it offers customers same-day grocery delivery free to Prime members from both Amazon Fresh stores and through a partnership with Morrisons.

Beelivery
Beelivery was set up in 2015 and offers on-demand grocery delivery. It says it delivers 24 hours a day, seven days a week to most towns and cities across the UK. The company wants drivers to be able to deliver within 90 minutes.
Some of the benefits:
- Choose your own hours
- Paid for each delivery you make – this usually ranges between £7 and £20 depending on trip distance and size of order
- You’re sent nearby delivery jobs in your area, which you can accept or reject.
- If you regularly accept jobs and provide good service, you are sent more delivery jobs in future
