The best Black Friday deals for UK private hire drivers

If you’re looking for some new or replacement kit to make your driving life easier, or just wanting to get yourself an early Christmas present, Black Friday and Cyber Monday mean there are some great savings to be had. Here’s our round-up of some of the best Black Friday deals for UK private hire drivers.

It’s not so long ago that the only technology drivers needed for their job was a decent radio.

Of course, the way drivers operate these days has been transformed. While the job itself might not have changed much, the tools, apps, and tech to support private hire drivers have clearly evolved.

In fact, it’s those tech developments that have allowed Uber and other platforms to steal a march on the traditional taxi market.

The downside for private hire drivers is the kit you want and need doesn’t always come cheap. But with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there are deals to be found.

Here are the best Black Friday deals we found – all chosen with drivers in mind.

For some drivers, the dashcam is an important part of their kit, allowing them (within the law) to record passengers for safety purposes (for more on this, read our blog Dashcams: What private hire drivers need to know).

A high-end dash cam can be pricey. But it’s worth remembering that as well as giving you and your riders peace of mind, dash cams can help cut the cost of your insurance and help support any claims. Here are the deals available from some of the leading brands.

Car phone holder/mount

Phone holders for vehicles have become more practical and flexible over recent years. For Uber and private hire drivers, a mount that allows them to easily see maps on their smartphone is crucial.
