INSHUR Pay as you Flex is an automated, pay-as-you-go Hire & Reward (H&R) insurance policy designed specifically for UK Amazon Flex delivery partners.
It provides supplementary commercial cover that syncs with the Amazon Flex app, charging drivers only for the exact minutes they are on a delivery block.
Pay as you Flex sits alongside your existing personal car insurance rather than replacing it. You still need continuous Social, Domestic and Pleasure cover on your vehicle at all times.

Pay As You Flex doesn't include Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) use or continuous motor insurance. You are required by law to have a separate, continuous underlying SD&P insurance policy in place on your insured vehicle for personal use at all times.
SD&P insurance covers you when using your vehicle for personal reasons, outside of your Pay as you Flex blocks or shifts.

Yes. To deliver for Amazon Flex in the UK you need Hire and Reward insurance on top of your personal Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) policy. Standard personal car insurance does not cover you to carry goods for payment, so it will not cover you while you are on a block.
Amazon Flex does not arrange this cover for you. You put it in place yourself, and Amazon Flex checks it is active before you can start delivering. With Pay as you Flex, we send your policy details to Amazon Flex directly, so you do not need to upload any documents.
Delivering without the correct cover can also invalidate your personal policy, which is why the two policies need to run alongside each other.
The cost of Amazon Flex insurance with INSHUR depends on the minutes you drive rather than a fixed annual premium. You are quoted an hourly rate, that rate is locked for 90 days, and you are charged only for the time you spend on an active block.
There is no upfront deposit and no setup fee. A wallet management fee of £1.49 applies every 30 days. Your wallet tops up automatically so your cover does not run out mid-block, and your remaining balance carries over when your policy renews.
If you take time off, you pay nothing for the days you are not delivering. There are no inactivity fees.

If you are in the process of onboarding with Amazon Flex: Please check that you have reached the following onboarding screen within the Amazon Flex app and have selected the “I want to purchase a ‘Pay As You Go’ insurance policy with INSHUR.” option.

Our policies renew automatically, based on the terms of your current policy. You don’t have to pay any renewal fees and your current wallet balance will carry over to your new policy.
You’ll receive an email seven days before the end of your current policy to let you know it’s time to renew. We’ll also update you on any changes to your hourly premium.
Once you’ve successfully renewed your policy, you’ll be covered for another 90 days.
*If you don’t want to renew your policy or would like to opt out of auto-renewal, please log in to your Dashboard to update your renewal.

Our Pay as You Flex policy covers Amazon Fresh and Amazon parcel deliveries only. If you drive for multiple companies, you’ll need a dedicated fast food delivery or courier policy.
There’s no excuse for driving without valid insurance – it’s illegal.
This Pay As You Flex product does not provide Continuous Motor Insurance. According to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act, anyone who uses, causes or permits a person to use a vehicle on roads and in public places in the United Kingdom (UK), must have an insurance policy in place. Parking a vehicle on the road also falls within the category of ‘uses’.
You are required to have a separate valid personal Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) motor vehicle insurance Policy in place, with a minimum of third party insurance to meet Your Requirement for Valid Continuous Motor Insurance.

It’s illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place in the UK without at least third-party insurance.
Even if the vehicle itself is insured, if you are not correctly insured to drive it you could get penalised, receive a fixed penalty, penalty points, an unlimited fine or disqualified from driving. The police also have the power to seize, and in some cases, destroy the vehicle that’s being driven uninsured.

Pay as you Flex won’t affect your Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) insurance Policy at all!
This insurance is a policy that covers you for Hire and Reward while you are driving for an Approved Deliver Partner as a delivery driver/courier.
Dual insurance occurs when, in the case of insurance against loss or damage, the same items are insured against a certain risk under more than one insurance policy. Cover is only provided under this policy for you in relation to your use of the insured vehicle for Hire and Reward. The SD&P insurance policy covers the vehicle and any named drivers for personal (and or commuting) use only - therefore Pay as you Flex does not cover the same risk as the SD&P policy.
If you switch Pay As You Go Hire and Reward (H&R) insurance providers,
Amazon Flex will only share your delivery information to your most recent H&R
insurance provider on record so you won’t be charged for more than one
insurance policy.
If you switch from a Pay As You Go to a 30-day or annual H&R policy, Amazon Flex will stop sharing your delivery information with your Pay As You Go provider once your 30 day or annual insurance policy is active.
We also recommend that you contact your insurance providers to ensure you only maintain one H&R policy that covers you while delivering with Amazon Flex.
