Do I need delivery insurance?

Delivery platforms will require you to provide Hire & Reward insurance.

What does this mean?
If you are carrying goods for a fee, you need this type of insurance in place before you are able to start delivering.

INSHUR policies provide you with the cover (and documents) you need to start working. You will usually need to show proof of this insurance before you start delivering – INSHUR can provide you with these documents in real-time online without having to wait to speak to anyone.

Who is eligible?

We can help most drivers and riders, depending on the following:

  • You are at least 23 years old
  • Your vehicle is not more than 20 years old

For our car and van drivers:

  • You have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Drive a car with up to 8 passenger seats or van with up to 2 passenger seats

For our scooter and motorcycle riders:

  • You have a valid licence type – such as a UK drivers licence, UK motorcycle licence or provisional motorcycle licence with CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)
