Terms and conditions


This “Agreement” (these referral terms on this page together with the documents referred to in it) sets out the terms which govern our referral programme (“Referral Programme”).  Please read this Agreement carefully before you use our Referral Programme.  By using our Referral Programme, you confirm that you accept this Agreement and that you agree to comply with it. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you must not use our Referral Programme. This Agreement applies whether you are an existing INSHUR customer (“Member”) or a person that is introduced by a Member to purchase an INSHUR insurance policy (“Friend”).

  1. “Our”/ “We” / “Us” means Inshur UK Ltd trading as INSHUR.
  2. The “Promotion” means the “Private Hire Insurance Refer-A-Friend” promotion which these Terms and Conditions specifically apply.
  3. All existing INSHUR private hire insurance policy holders who refer a new member directly to INSHUR (“Referring Member”) shall be eligible to receive one gift card to the value of £25 (Pounds Sterling), per new individual member who purchases an INSHUR private hire insurance policy. For the avoidance of doubt, the definition of a Referring Member does not include any person that has made a referral in their capacity as a professional broker, authorised representative or insurance intermediary.
  4. All new Referred Members who have registered for this promotion following a referral from a Referring Member, and who subsequently purchase a private hire insurance policy from INSHUR shall also be eligible to receive one gift voucher to the value of £25 (Pounds Sterling).
  5. This promotion is only valid for purchases of the private hire policies that are of 30 day and above policy durations (not currently valid on courier or food delivery policies).
  6. This offer does not apply to existing INSHUR policy holders adding new members to an existing INSHUR policy.
  7. Prohibited uses: You may only use our Referral Programme in good faith for lawful purposes.  You may not:
    • create more than one account in order to invite yourself;
    • invite others that have purchased duplicate policies;
    • use alternative contact information to refer yourself or others that have purchased duplicate policies;
    • invite an existing customer of INSHUR;
    • invite fictitious persons;
    • do anything that damages INSHUR’s brand, goodwill or reputation;
    • use the Referral Programme in: (i) any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation; or (ii) any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
    • transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or
    • transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising either via paid search or any other similar activity, including channels that can damage the INSHUR brand, goodwill or reputation.
  8. The Referring Member and Referred Member must both provide a valid, active email address. We cannot be held responsible for an invalid email address, invalid Referral Codes or other associated problems relating to the delays to the delivery of or non-receipt of emails, including the effect of spam filters.
  9. The Referring Member confirms that they have received the consent of the Referred Member to pass the Referred Member’s contact details to INSHUR for the purposes of this offer. In the event the Referring Member has not gained the Referred Member’s consent, the Referring Member will not be eligible to receive a gift voucher and shall be liable for any claim made by the Referred Member against INSHUR.
  10. The Referred Member must register for the Promotion before they take out their plan. They must register by adding the Referring Member’s unique 6 or 7 character code into the VIP Code section of the app upon their first time using the app. We are unable to accept the VIP Code once they have gone past that stage in the app flow during their first time using the app.
  11. The maximum any Referring Member can earn in a given calendar month is £1,000, equating to a successful referral of 40 drivers. After that, the Referring Member will not benefit from any successful referrals until the following calendar month.
  12. All transactions must be validated by us before the gift voucher can be issued. Once the Referred Member’s INSHUR policy has been live for four weeks, they and the Referring Member will become eligible for their gift voucher. The gift voucher will not be issued to either the Referring Member or the Referred Member should either cancel or suspend their INSHUR policy within four weeks of the inception date of the Referred Member’s INSHUR policy.
  13. The gift voucher is not transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to substitute the Amazon gift voucher with another gift voucher of similar value, in the event an Amazon gift voucher is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  14. The Amazon gift vouchers shall be redeemable in accordance with Amazon’s terms and conditions: is not a sponsor of this promotion. gift vouchers (“GCs”) may be redeemed on the website towards the purchase of eligible products listed in our online catalogue and sold by or any other seller selling through GCs cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account. is not responsible if a GC is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.   15. We are unable to respond to queries about non-receipt of the gift voucher until 30 days after the Referred Member’s plan start date. Please check with the Referred Member if you are unsure about their start date.
  16. If you believe you are eligible for a gift voucher but have not received one, we will investigate your claim provided we receive your enquiry within 60 days of the Promotion closure date. In this case it may take longer to issue you with a gift voucher.

  19. Please note this Promotion is being monitored. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel transactions suspected of being fraudulent and such customers may have their details passed to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
  20. We accept no liability for lost entries and no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Promotion, including any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an ability to participate in the Promotion.
  21. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage and/or personal injury suffered by participating in this Promotion and/or arising out of the enjoyment of the gift voucher.
  22. Each Referring Member/Referred Member pair can only receive their respective gift vouchers once.
  23. This Promotion is not available for use in conjunction with any other promotion. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate the Promotion at any stage without prior notice.
