How we’re supporting drivers in the UK through the COVID-19 pandemic

During the global outbreak of COVID-19 our continued focus is on helping drivers stay safe.

We understand that your business and livelihood may have been greatly affected in recent weeks and that you have questions regarding your insurance options. Here’s an update on what we’re doing to support you.

Stay on the road and earning

During the COVID-19 outbreak, food delivery has become increasingly popular and can be a safe way for you to stay on the road while protecting your health.

INSHUR customers are automatically covered to deliver food at no added cost. Please bear in mind that if you are an INSHUR Pro customer who selected to drive exclusively for Uber, you will need to use Uber Eats only.

Flexibility

You can choose a flexible policy of any length between 7 and 90 days. INSHUR policies also cover you for your Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SDP) driving, so you are protected even if you’re only using your car for personal use.

You should check with your local authority as to whether your plated vehicle needs continuous insurance in place. If you choose not to have insurance you should SORN your vehicle or find alternative insurance cover.
