New York is a big city and where the crowds are is where the money is. Uber riders will be looking for drivers in all the extra busy areas, so make yourself available to feast on the fare bonanza. As May comes to close here are the hot spots for the month of June. Be there or miss out.

The Governor’s Ball is a bona fide big-tent music festival. The event brings A-list rappers, beloved veteran acts, rising pop stars and more to Randall’s Island. Rain or shine, thousands attend. Be nearby to get them home.

Where: All over NYC, but the main event is in Central Park.
When: June 1st to September 24th, 2019.
Times: Virtually every day for four months, shows usually kick off around 6.00pm, but times can vary.
New York’s biggest music festival, featuring dozens of mainline acts and spread across all five boroughs. The Central Park mainstage located near Rumsey Playfield is the core, but acts are performing everywhere all summer long. Focus on the Park for hectic arrival and departure action.
Coney Island Mermaid Parade.
Event: Parade of half-naked mermaids and mermen.
Where: Surf Avenue, Coney Island.
When: June 22nd, 2019.
Times: From 1.00pm.
On its 37th outing, Brooklyn’s big street attraction features floats and marchers in spangle-studded costumes. Tens of thousands hug the parade route, then hit the beach and parks afterwards. By late afternoon, many families tired of fun, sun and active kids will be desperate to get home.
NYC Gay Pride March.
Event: Gay Pride month grand finale.
Where: Starts at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue.
When: June 30th and 8th, 2019.
Times: From noon.
Expect a ton of glitter and craziness in this LGBTQ mix of Mardi Gras and Carnivale. Hundreds of thousands will line the march route to watch the eye-popping show. Many will go on to clubs, bars and parties.
