What is Evri insurance, and do I need it?
If you're working as a self-employed courier for Evri, your standard car or van insurance does not cover you for delivery work.
Carrying parcels in return for payment is legally classified as hire and reward work under the Road Traffic Act 1988. That means you're required by law to have a specialist courier insurance policy — and without one, you're technically uninsured every time you set off on a round.
Evri also requires proof of valid hire and reward insurance as part of your onboarding before you can start accepting parcels. It's not a grey area — it's a legal requirement.
INSHUR's courier insurance is built for drivers like you: quick to set up, easy to manage, and flexible enough to work around your schedule.
